FOREST, Va. --- Randolph-Macon College center Kelly Williams and Emory & Henry College head coach Anne Crutchfield headline the 2018 All-ODAC Women's Basketball Awards, announced by the ODAC on Thursday morning. Williams was named the ODAC Player of the Year, while Crutchfield received ODAC Coach of the Year honors. Washington and Lee University garnered the remaining two laurels with guard Katie Popp earning ODAC Rookie of the Year distinction and fellow backcourt mate Emily Perszyk featuring as the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

There are plenty of familiar faces on this season's All-ODAC lists with eight players earning a repeat nod. That includes each member of the six-woman All-ODAC First Team. Perszyk and Willams are joined by Virginia Wesleyan University guard Jayla Harris as repeat first team selections by the league's head coaches. Emory & Henry forward Taylor Blevins and Lynchburg College forward Caroline Naumann moved up from the 2017 All-ODAC Second Team, while Guilford College playmaker Lauren Ramsey made the jump from two straight selections on the All-ODAC Third Team.

Williams, a sophomore from Garysburg, N.C., has had nothing short of a spectacular season after earning eight ODAC Player of the Week awards and three Division III National Player of the Week honors by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA). Williams leads NCAA Division III in several categories entering the ODAC Tournament including scoring (25.8), field goals made (232), and offensive rebounds per game (7.0). She is second in total points (619), rebounding average (18.1), defensive rebounds per game (12.0), and double-doubles (23). Nine times she has registered at least 20 points and 20 rebounds in the same game. Williams tied the Division III high for points in a game this season with 45 against Guilford in early February, marking the only 40-plus point game in the ODAC this season. She registered double figures in scoring in all 25 games played with 22 games of 20 or more points and six outings of more than 30 points.

Crutchfield is in her fourth season guiding the Wasps women's program, a unit she once led as a four-time All-ODAC player. This the first ODAC top coaching honor for Crutchfield. E&H has seen a meteoric rise in success in her three-plus seasons, improving from a 6-20 squad in the year preceding her return to Emory to a 15-3 mark in 2015, a pair of 19-8 records in 2016 and 2017, and to this season's current 20-5 perch atop the ODAC table entering the conference tournament. The 20 victories are the fourth such instance in program history and the most since former mentor Joy Scruggs led E&H to 22 wins in 2002. Crutchfield, who has led the Wasps to three straight berths in the ODAC semifinals, currently boasts a 73-34 (.682) career record that includes a 44-20 (.688) mark in conference regular season contests.

Popp, a first-year from Rye, N.Y., became that second scoring option Washington and Lee needed. Popp is second on the squad and eighth in the conference at 14.7 points per game, having registered double figures in 19-of-25 games played. She is sixth in the conference in field goals made (138) and eighth in total points scored (368) and three-pointers made (39). She registered six games of 20 points or better, including a season-high 25 in December against non-conference foe New York University. It isn't all offense for Popp either as she ranks eighth in the ODAC with 43 steals and pulls down 4.4 rebounds per game.

Perszyk, a senior from Greendale, Wis., is a standout on an off the floor for the Generals. In the classroom, Perszyk maintains a 3.978 grade point average as a Neuroscience major. She earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors in 2017, a distinction she is likely to duplicate this season. In addition to being a multi-honoree on the All-ODAC Academic Team as well as a W&L Scholar-Athlete, Perszyk is a member of W&L's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa and Tri-Beta Biological honor societies. On the court, Perszyk is now a two-time All-ODAC First Team honoree. The Generals' leading scorer is sixth in the ODAC in both points per game (16.0) and total points scored (385). She is second in the league in steals (56) and third in free throws made (98-of-119) and free throw percentage (.824), and fourth in three-pointers made (45) and minutes played per game (34.9). She will graduate as one of the best free throw shooters in ODAC history, having made 252-of-302 (.834) from the line over her career entering the ODAC Tournament.
