Burkholder, a junior from Bridgewater, Virginia, waited for the
perfect moment to turn in her best performance of the year as she
knocked down a season-high 28 points in Bridgewater's 68-57 victory
over Randolph-Macon on Sunday. Burkholder netted 19 second-half
points as the Eagles held on to defeat the Yellow Jackets. Her
defense was also key as she came away with five steals to go along
with five rebounds. The Bridgewater, Va. native also turned in a
17-point performance on Tuesday in a 75-42 victory over Virginia
Wesleyan. On the week, Burkholder shot 60% from the field. Both
scoring marks were game-highs.
