Hughes, a junior from Raleigh, N.C., shot 70.0-percent from the field over two Washington and Lee victories to help the Generals extend their winning streak to seven straight games. That ties a school-record for longest winning streak in program history. Hughes opened with 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field in an 89-78 victory over Roanoke. She added eight rebounds, three assists, and a steal to her line. Hughes then posted a person season-best 24 points in just 22 minutes of action in an 80-61 win at Eastern Mennonite. She was 9-of-11 from the field and 6-of-7 form the foul line. She chipped in nine rebounds, including six via the offensive glass, and added two assists and two steals. For the season, Hughes is averaging 12.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. She is fifth in the ODAC in steals (35), seventh in free throws made (60-of-78), and ninth in free throw shooting (76.9%).
