  • W&L Falls to York (Pa.) in NCAA First Round
    May 08, 2013
    Ninth-ranked York (Pa.) used a 10-4 lead in the first half to pull well ahead of the Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team and claim a 13-6 win on Wednesday in NCAA Division III Tournament first round action at Kinsley Field.
  • Gulford's Garcia Headlines ODAC Women's Lacrosse Awards

    Guilford attack E'leyna Garcia headlines the 2013 ODAC Women's Lacrosse All-Conference awards as she was tabbed the ODAC Player of the Year. Washington and Lee mentor Brooke O'Brien earned ODAC Coach of the Year honors, while Lynchburg midfielder Katherine Francis received ODAC Rookie of the Year accolades. Randolph-Macon midfielder Rachel Johnsen garned ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete laurels for the second straight year.
  • ODAC Represented by Four Schools in NCAA Lacrosse Tournaments

    Four ODAC schools will continue their seasons into the NCAA postseason this week as first round competition begins in the 2013 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Lacrosse Tournaments. Washington and Lee will be the conference's lone participant on the women's side, while the Generals are joined by Roanoke and Lynchburg in the men's bracket. Opening games in both tourneys begin on Wednesday.
  • Generals Win 14th ODAC Women's Lacrosse Championship

    Washington and Lee University led just 3-2 at the half, but the Generals out-scored Shenandoah University, 8-6, in the final frame to post an 11-8 victory and secure the program's 14th overall ODAC women's lacrosse title. The win also marks the fourth consecutive crown for W&L, and awards it the conference's automatic entry into the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship.

  • ODAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament Set

    Guilford College heads into the 2013 ODAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament as the top seed with an unscathed 10-0 league mark as part of a 15-1 overall record. The Quakers are currently on a 14-game winning streak and look to capture their first-ever women's lacrosse conference crown.

  • ODAC Spotlight Athlete of the Week: E'leyna Garcia, GC Women's Lacrosse

    Guilford College junior attack E'leyna Garcia has helped the Quakers' women's lacrosse team to a program-record start. She leads the ODAC in goals scored (61) and points (71), having scored at least three goals in each of nine games this season. She entered the week leading the country in goals scored (55), and recently became Guilford's all-time and single-season goals scored leader.

  • Washington and Lee Tops ODAC Women's Lacrosse Poll

    Washington and Lee University received 10 first place votes and 100 total poll points to lead the 2013 ODAC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll. Roanoke College sits second with 87 tallies, while Lynchburg College rounds out the top three with 85 points and the remaining top nod.
  • Sarah Berheide Named Guilford Women's Lacrosse Coach
    August 29, 2012
    Guilford College Director of Athletics Tom Palombo announced the hiring of Sarah Berheide as the Quakers' head women's lacrosse coach Tuesday. Berheide replaces Matthew Grosso, who resigned in May after eight seasons to accept the head women's lacrosse post at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
