  • Generals Fall to York in NCAA Second Round

    The eighth-ranked York women's lacrosse team jumped out to a 10-0 lead and never looked back in claiming a 10-3 victory over 10th-ranked Washington and Lee in the second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament on Sunday afternoon at Kinsley Field.
  • Generals Down Cabrini in NCAA Women's Lacrosse First Round

    The 10th-ranked Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team tied the program record for goals in a game with 27 en route to producing a 27-7 victory over Cabrini in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday in a neutral-site contest at York (Pa.) College.
  • W&L's Castelo, RC's Boris Lead All-ODAC Women's Lacrosse Awards

    For the first time in league history, ODAC women's lacrosse has moved to pair of top player awards to lead its annual All-ODAC Women's Lacrosse Awards. Washington and Lee University attacker Jess Castelo is the first ODAC Offensive Player of the Year, while Roanoke College defender Emma Boris is the first ODAC Defensive Player of the Year. Generals mentor Brooke O'Brien took home ODAC Coach of the Year honors from her peers, while Shenandoah University midfielder Alyson Bittinger earned ODAC Rookie of the Year laurels. Lynchburg College midfielder Dorrie MacGregor was tabbed the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete by the conference's sports information directors.
  • Washington and Lee Earns Entry to NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament Field

    Washington and Lee University is set to enter the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament for the ninth straight season and 18th time overall following its record 19th ODAC title over the weekend. The Generals learned their opening round location and the composition of the of the national scene as announced on www.ncaa.com on Sunday evening.
  • Washington and Lee Wins Record 19th ODAC Women's Lax Championship

    The top-seeded and ninth-ranked Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team endured a 50-minute weather delay and used a five-goal run in the first half to produce a 14-7 victory over second-seeded Randolph-Macon in the championship game of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament on Sunday afternoon.

  • Eastern Mennonite Tabs Russo as First Women's Lacrosse Coach

    Eastern Mennonite University has announced the hiring of Katie Russo as the school's first Head Women's Lacrosse Coach. She will start her duties with the Royals in early May. Russo is completing her second year at Frostburg State University as the graduate assistant coach. She was honored to be selected to start up EMU's program.

  • Washington and Lee Tabbed Atop ODAC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll

    Eight-time reigning league champion Washington and Lee University was picked as the favorite to hoist yet another conference trophy as the Generals were tabbed atop the ODAC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll. W&L received a full allotment of 64 points powered by eight first place votes. Randolph-Macon College sits second with 55 tallies and the remaining top nod.
  • Bridgewater Names Bragg as its New Women's Lacrosse Head Coach
