Buckingham, a senior from Herndon, Va., put a cap to her regular season by capturing two of the biggest awards in Lynchburg women's lacrosse history. Buckingham helped lead the Hornets to a pair of wins over Randolph and Sweet Briar by scoring eight goals with six assists. Those totals helped her become the all-time leader at Lynchburg in pionts with 265 and goals with 192, supplanting 1991 LC grad Dana Hansen in both categories. Buckingham also has 73 assists in her career. For the week, Buckingham also collected 11 draw controls and four ground balls while causing three turnovers.

Lily Colley, Guilford, Sophomore, Attack
Colley tallied 11 points on six goals and five assists in
Guilford’s 1-1 week… scored a career-high 10 points,
second-highest in school history, in Guilford’s win over
Randolph… connected on a personal-best six goals and four
assists… added four ground balls and two caused turnovers to
the Quakers’ record 10th win of the season… set
Guilford’s season records for points (72) and assists
(28)… scored one assist in the Quakers’ road loss to
15th-ranked Washington and Lee.
Allison Bonanno, Roanoke, Sophomore, Attack
Bonanno had four points (3G, 1A) against Bridgewater
where she also picked up three ground balls and caused two
turnovers in the 10-9 win. Bonanno also had game high six
points (3G, 3A) against Virginia Wesleyan, where the Maroons won
12-8. Bonanno is the second leading scorer for the Maroons
with 51 goals, but leads the team in assists with 42, 19 more than
the next player on the team.
