2020 Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

    Bittinger, a junior from Westminster, Md., helped the Hornets pick up a pair of non-conference victories over opponents from Massachusetts to stay unbeaten at 7-0 on the season. Bittinger opened her week with four goals in a 19-8 win over Bridgewater State. She added three draw controls, a ground ball, and a caused turnover. She again scored four goals the next day in Shenandoah's 20-6 triumph over Wheaton (Mass.). She added nine draw controls, three ground balls, and a caused turnover. For the season, Bittinger leads the ODAC in points (36) and goals scored (33). She is also first in shots on goals (44) and free-position goals (12-of-14).

    Anderson, a senior from Manhasset, N.Y., helped lead the now nationally fourth-ranked Generals to a pair of high profile victories with a stellar defensive effort. The 2019 ODAC Defensive Player of the Year opened with seven draw controls, six caused turnovers, and three ground balls in a 16-5 victory over Christopher Newport. She followed that with six ground balls, three draw controls, and three more caused turnovers in a 12-9 triumph over then nationally third-ranked Gettysburg. The Generals' defense held the Bullets seven goals below their season average of 16 tallies per game. For the season, Anderson leads the ODAC in caused turnovers (18) and ground balls (24) and is second in draw controls (48).
