JOANIE SNYDER, Lynchburg College, Sophomore - Forward

Snyder, a sophomore from Bel Air, Maryland, led the Hornets with four goals and two assists in three shutout victories last week.  Her highlight performance came against Methodist over the weekend when she had a hand in four of the five goals scored.  She notched a hat trick and assisted on another in LC's 5-0 win.  Early in the week, she scored once against Bridgewater and assisted on a goal against Emory & Henry to help the Hornets to both of those victories.

Brittney Harris, Bridgewater College, Freshman - Forward
Harris scored a pair of goals to lead the Eagles to a 3-1 victory over rival Eastern Mennonite.

Abby Diffenbach, Eastern Mennonite University, Junior - Goalkeeper
Diffenbach made 21 saves in just two games this week. Diffenbach's play in goal kept EMU in both games this week against top ODAC teams as the Royals were outshot by a total of 41-16.  The junior made 14 saves in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Roanoke.

Marina Schachowskoj, Guilford College, Senior - Midfielder
Schachowskoj scored a team- and game-high three points in the Quakers' 3-0 ODAC win over Randolph.

Angela Nelms, Randolph-Macon College, Freshman - Midfield/Defense
Nelms totaled four goals over the Yellow Jackets two games last week.  Against College of Notre Dame Monday, Angela netted two goals in the first five minutes and added a third in the 47th minute for a hat-trick. The Yellow Jackets went on to win 9-0. In ODAC action Saturday, Angela scored the game winning goal to lead Randolph-Macon past Randolph College 3-0.

Jessica Welfare, Roanoke College, Senior - Midfielder
Welfare scored two goals with nine shots, eight on goal, in helping the Maroons go 2-0 this week with ODAC wins over Sweet Briar (6-0) and Eastern Mennonite (2-1).  Both of her goals were game-winners.

Allison Lennox, Virginia Wesleyan College, Senior - Goalkeeper
Lennox helped steer the Marlins to 3-0 week, guarding the goal and helping to record three consecutive shutout victories.  She recorded six saves in the three wins to increase her season total to 44, her goals against average to 0.65, and her saves percentage to .864.  Lennox has been a steady contributor in a defense that has recorded 12 shutouts, including the last eight in row.  VWC has outscored foes 24-0 in those eight games. VWC is now 12-3 overall and 8-1 in the ODAC.
