Sophia Roche', Washington and Lee, Fy., Forward

Roche', a first-year from Ashburn, Va., put together an eight-point week with goals in each of Washington and Lee's three non-conference victories last week. The Generals are now 7-0-1 on the season. Roche' opened her account as part of an offensive explosion by the Generals as she scored W&L's third goal in the 28th minute in a 7-0 home win over Averett. She again registered a first-half tally at Meredith College, scoring the second of W&L's two goals in the 19th minute on the way to a 5-0 road win. While W&L saw its shutout streak end at four games in a 5-1 win at N.C. Wesleyan, Roche' increased her output with a pair of second half goals. After NCWC had pulled to within 2-1 in the 56th minute, Roche' scored in the 59th minute and then again in the 69th minute to blow open the contest. For the season, Roche' is tied for third in the ODAC with five goals scored and tied for fifth with 10 points.
