Morgan O'Neill, Roanoke, So., Forward

O'Neill, a sophomore from Morristown, N.J., continued her stellar start to the 2021 fall campaign as she put her name on the scoresheet in both of Roanoke's non-conference victories last week. She has scored in four of the Maroons five contests, helping them to five wins in as many outings. O'Neill opened Roanoke's account in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Oneonta. She finished off a feed from Eliza Ryan in the 18th minute. She doubled her output in the Maroons' second outing as Roanoke scored six goals for the second time this season in a 6-0 shutout over Hartwick. O'Neill scored RC's third and fourth goals, one on either side of the intermission. She ran on to Erin Flamm's lofted ball over the Hawks defense, depositing it past the keeper in the 39th minute. Her second goal proved an unassisted effort with 52:02 showing on the game clock. For the season, O'Neill leads the ODAC in points (12) and goals scored (6). Roanoke has outscored its opponents 20-1 to open its schedule.
