    The 15th-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team saw its 2018 season come to an end with a close 5-4 loss to 19th-ranked Mary Washington on Saturday afternoon at the UMW Tennis Courts.
  • Generals Top Franciscan in NCAA Women's Tennis First Round
    May 11, 2018
    The 15th-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team defeated Franciscan, 5-0, on Friday afternoon in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the Mary Washington Outdoor Courts.
  • W&L's Fleenor, Marshall, Ness Headline All-ODAC Women's Tennis Awards

    Washington and Lee University took home three major honors and five singles all-conference laurels to lead the 2018 All-ODAC Women's Tennis Awards. Top-flight singles player Michelle Fleenor was tabbed the ODAC Player of the Year, while teammate Valerie Marshall earned ODAC Rookie of the Year recognition. Generals' mentor Erin Ness received ODAC Coach of the Year accolades. Randolph-Macon College junior Gaby Tersigni earned the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete Award from the league's sports information directors.

    The 15th-ranked and top-seeded Washington and Lee women's tennis team claimed its 16th straight ODAC title with a 5-0 victory over seventh-seeded Virginia Wesleyan in the championship match of the conference tournament on Sunday at the Everett Tennis Center.

  • Seeding Set for ODAC Women's Tennis Tournament

    Washington and Lee University continued its historical dominance of the ODAC women's tennis ranks as the Generals ran thru its league slate with a perfect 11-0 record to secure the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Women's Tennis Tournament. The Generals will be one of four quarterfinal hosts, the remainder of which were partially determined thru tiebreakers.

  • Washington and Lee Headlines ODAC Women's Tennis Preseason Poll

    Washington and Lee University, winner of 15 straight ODAC titles, sits perched atop the ODAC Women's Tennis Preseason Poll, conducted annually by the league's head coaches. The Generals earned 121 points with a full allotment of 10 first place votes. Bridgewater College takes up position in second place with 104 tallies, while Randolph-Macon College rounds out the top-three after picking up 100 points including the remaining top nod.

    The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has announced that Brooke Donnelly '17 (Kennesaw, Ga./Marietta) has been selected as a Top 30 honoree for the 2017 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.
