Sonja Meighan, Washington and Lee, Sophomore

Meighan, a sophomore from McLean, Va., went 4-0 during the Generals 3-0 week.  In a 9-0 win over Randolph, Meighan posted a straight set win at #1 singles and teamed with Cameron Dorsey for an 8-2 triumph and #1 doubles.  In a 7-2 victory against #7 Carnegie Mellon, Meighan topped Chelsie Motie 6-3, 6-0.  Motie is the seventh-ranked player in the Atlantic South Region.  Meighan and Patricia Kirkland posted an 8-2 win at #1 doubles, defeating the region's eighth-ranked tandem in Motie and Brynn Raschke.  Meighan, the fifth-ranked singles player in the region, is 13-4 overall and 9-2 in dual matches this season.  She and Kirkland, who top the ITA's Atlantic South Region doubles rankings, are 15-3 overall and 11-1 in dual matches.

Women's Tennis Honor Roll

Haley Andrews, Guilford College - (Soph, 1/1 - Riverside, Calif.)
Andrews won at first singles and first doubles in Guilford's 7-2 win at Sweet Briar.  She teamed with Allie Guy for an 8-6 win at first doubles and then took a 6-4, 6-2 win over the Vixens' Sarah Manter at first singles.

Priscila Montoya, Hollins University - (JR, #2 singles, #1 doubles - Delicias, Mexico)
Montoya went 2-0 overall last week as Hollins posted an ODAC win over Bridgewater.  Down 3-4 in the third set, Montoya recovered to win three straight games to not only win her individual match, but put HU over top BC, 5-4.

Kaitlyn Kolster, Randolph - (So., #4/#2 - Powhatan, Va.)
Kolster helped lead the WildCats to back-to-back wins at the tail end of the week, as Randolph went 2-1 on the week. Against LC, she picked up an 8-0 win in No. 2 doubles and followed that with a straight set win at No. 4 singles. Against VWC on Saturday, Kolster helped the WildCats to a big home victory, as she chalked up an 8-2 win in pairs, and was victorious at No. 4 singles 6-4, 6-2. She is now 6-3 this year in dual matches.

Corbin Leitch, Roanoke - (, Sr. - Richmond, VA)
Stepping into the #1 singles position over the last two matches, Leitch has gone 2-0 in singles.  In a 9-0 win over Emory & Henry, Leitch won 6-1; 6-3 in singles played and teamed with Kaitlyn Diskerud for an 8-0 win at #2 doubles.  In a 9-0 triumph over Sweet Briar, Leitch was victorious 6-0, 6-2 in singles action and joined Lauren Dodson for an 8-1 win at #1 doubles.
