Danielle Lewis, Randolph, Sr., No. 5 Singles, No. 3 Doubles

Lewis, a senior from Kingston, Jamaica, helped the WildCats to a 3-0 week by going 6-0 in all competions, each of which came against ODAC competition.  Lewis was 3-0 at #5 singles and 3-0 at #3 doubles with partner Tiandre Forde, giving the WildCats six points towards wins over Hollins (7-2), Lynchburg (9-0) and Virginia Wesleyan (6-3).  In singles action, Lewis earned a 1-6, 6-4, 10-8 win over Hollins, a 6-4, 6-4 triumph over Lynchburg, and a 6-1, 6-1 victory over VWC.  She and Forde posted 8-5, 8-6, and 8-1 wins in doubles play, respectively.

Women's Tennis Honor Roll

Melissa Tomlin, Randolph-Macon (So. - Prince George, Va.)
Tomlin went 3-1 at #3 singles and 2-2 at #2 doubles last week as R-MC went 2-2 in league action.  She won singles matches against Bridgewater (6-2, 6-3), Lynchburg (6-1, 6-1) and Roanoke (6-1, 6-0) before falling to Washington and Lee (6-0, 6-1).  She and partner Molly Jesseman won 8-6 and 8-0 against BC and LC, but lost 8-2 and 8-1 to RC and W&L.

Kaitlyn Diskerud, Roanoke (Jr. - Hershey, Pa.)
Diskerud went 2-0 in singles play last week, helping RC to wins over Randolph-Macon (5-4) and Lynchburg (5-0).  She provided the deciding point (6-0, 6-7, 6-3) against R-MC at #4 singles, handing the Yellow Jackets their first ODAC loss.  Diskerud then won 6-1, 6-0 at #5 singles against LC.

Molly Barb, Shenandoah (Jr. - Edinburgh, Va.)
Barb went 2-0 at #1 singles and 1-1 at #1 doubles in SU's wins over Hollins (7-2) and Emory & Henry (9-0).  She won 6-3, 1-6, 11-9 over HU, and then posted a 6-1, 6-0 win over E&H in singles play.  She and partner Shannon Allin lost 8-5 to HU, but followed with an 8-4 win over E&H.

Sonja Meighan, Washington and Lee (Sr. - McLean, Va.)
Meighan won 6-0, 6-0 at #1 singles and joined partner Patricia Kirkland in winning 8-0 in #1 doubles play against Randolph-Macon.  The nationally fifth-ranked Generals defeated R-MC, 6-2.
