Michelle Fleenor, Washington and Lee, So., #2/3 Singles, #1/2 Doubles

Fleenor, a sophomore from Chattanooga, Tenn., helped keep the 13th-ranked Generals rolling with two more wins last week, including an ODAC triumph and a national-ranked showdown.  Fleenor competed at #3 singles and #2 doubles as the Generals took down nationally 18th-ranked Mary Washington, 5-4, to start the week. Fleenor defeated the 41st-rated singles player in the country, Shelby Harris, 7-6, 6-4.  She and Rachel Hicks scored an 8-4 victory in doubles action. Fleenor moved to #2 singles and #1 doubles in the Generals 6-3 win over Roanoke. She won 6-2, 6-0 in singles play and joined Brooke Donnelly for an 8-1 doubles win.

Women's Tennis Honor Roll

Sveva Mazzari, Emory & Henry (Fr. - 1/1)
Mazzari helped E&H to a 1-1 week as she went 3-1 combined at #1 singles and #1 doubles. She posted a 6-2, 6-0 win over Guilford and 6-1, 6-0 triumph over Roanoke in singles play.  She then joined Savanna Summers for an 8-1 doubles win over GC before falling to RC, 8-2. Mazzari is 10-0 in singles action this season.

Fernanda Gonzalez, Guilford (Sr. - 4/2)
Gonzalez Gonzalez won 6-0, 6-1 and added an 8-3 doubles win with Leigh Fishman is the Quakers 7-2 setback to E&H.

Molly Jesseman, Randolph-Macon (Jr. - 6/3)
Jesseman helped the now #14 regionally-ranked Yellow Jackets to a 9-0 win over region #18 Elizabethtown. She won 6-1, 6-0 at #6 singles and partnered with Melissa Tomlin for an 8-2 victory at #3 doubles.

Briell Smith, Roanoke (Sr. - 2-3/1)
Smith helped Roanoke to a 3-1 week.  she earned a #3 singles win over Bridgewater, 6-0, 6-3, and then added 6-1, 6-3 and 6-0, 6-1 victories at #2 singles over Shenandoah and Emory & Henry.  She then posted #1 doubles victories of 8-1, 8-1 and 8-2.  Her two losses on the week came against Washington and Lee (6-2, 6-0, and 8-1).
