EHC's Fertitta State's Top Rookie, Seven Others Honored

DANVILLE, Va. --- The ODAC put eight players on the VaSID Volleyball All-State Teams and added a major award in the annual voting of Virginia's sports information directors.  Emory & Henry's Rachel Fertitta headlined the list as the state's top rookie.  The ODAC placed three standouts on the first team and took up five of six positions on the second team.

All-ODAC First Team selections Rebecca Leedom (VWC), Rachel Phillips (WLU), and Jessica Ulrich (WLU) joined three Christopher Newport University student-athletes on the VaSID First Team.  Erika Dirnagl (BC), Fertitta, Marissa Wood (VWC), Kedra Smith (R-MC) and Savannah Tinsley (LC) comprised the ODAC's strong contingent on the VaSID Second Team.
