Lynchburg's Ellinger Steps Down as Volleyball Head CoachApril 02, 2020University of Lynchburg volleyball coach Elizabeth Ellinger announced Wednesday that she will step down from her post, effective immediately, to pursue full-time administration of her Old Dominion Volleyball Academy.

Five Named AVCA Honorable Mention All-AmericaNovember 19, 2019Five ODAC standouts earned recognition in the final set of awards announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Tuesday. Bridgewater outside Rachel Gaston along with Randolph-Macon middle Sydney Koch, Virginia Wesleyan middle Amber Matalus, and Washington and Lee middle Courtney Berry and outside Brynne Gould earned selection to the Division III Honorable Mention All-America squad.

Marlins Season Ends in NCAA First RoundNovember 15, 2019The Virginia Wesleyan University volleyball team fell in a heartbreaker to No. 22 Juniata, 3-2 (17-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-13, 15-9), Friday afternoon in the NCAA Championship Regional Round played at Christopher Newport University. With the result, the Marlins finish the year with a record of 28-8 which sets the program record for wins in a season.

R-MC's Comeback Bid Falls Short in NCAA First RoundNovember 15, 2019Down 2-0, Randolph-Macon Women's Volleyball mounted a comeback, earning a set win in the third set and held Marymount at bay for much of the fourth frame, but the Saints were able to overcome a late deficit to win and advance in the NCAA Tournament Friday evening.

NCAA BRACKET | R-MC Joins VWU in National Volleyball FieldNovember 11, 2019The ODAC will be represented by not one but two squads in the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Tournament, slated to begin next weekend at eight regional sites across the country. Virginia Wesleyan University, winners of the ODAC title and its automatic bid to the tournament, is joined by at-large selection Randolph-Macon College in the national field.

BC's Gaston, R-MC's Seven Headline All-ODAC Volleyball AwardsNovember 10, 2019Bridgewater College outside hitter Rachel Gaston earned three repeat honors and Randolph-Macon College garnered a league-high seven all-conference selections to headline the 2019 All-ODAC Volleyball Awards. In addition to a second straight nod to the All-ODAC First Team, Gaston received repeat recognition as the ODAC Player of the Year from the leagues's head coaches and the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year from the ODAC's sports information directors. Virginia Wesleyan University mentor Andrea Hoover-Erbig picked up ODAC Coach of the Year honors, while Randolph-Macon outside Grace Parker was tabbed the ODAC Rookie of the Year.

Marlins Continue Historic Run with First ODAC Volleyball TitleNovember 09, 2019Virginia Wesleyan made the most of its second appearance in an ODAC volleyball championship match as the Marlins won an outstanding battle at the net with Randolph-Macon, 3-1, to hoist their first conference trophy in program history. With the win, VWU earns the ODAC's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament.

ODAC Volleyball Tournament | 8-Team Field Ready for ActionNovember 02, 2019Randolph-Macon's streak of chart-topping volleyball reaches a half-dozen seasons as the Yellow Jackets enter the ODAC Volleyball Tournament as the top seed for a sixth consecutive year. Virginia Wesleyan, the second seed in the eight-team field, joins R-MC as one of four squads to host quarterfinals. The remainder of the bracket, however, needed tiebreakers to sort out.

ODAC VOLLEYBALL POLL | Washington and Lee Earns Top BillingAugust 21, 2019The point differential at the top of the 2019 ODAC Volleyball Preseason Poll is not quite as tight as it was a season ago, but it is pretty close. Washington and Lee University sits perched atop the annual survey for the second straight year, earning eight first place votes on the way to 139 points to edge Randolph-Macon College by four markers. The Yellow Jackets picked up four top nods on the way to 135 tallies.
