RACHEL FERTITTA, Emory & Henry College, Sophomore - Middle Hitter

Fertitta, a sophomore from Roanoke, Virginia, earned MVP honors at the E&H tournament this weekend and helped to lead the Wasps to a 4-0 week. E&H has now won five in a row and are 8-1 overall including a win over perennial national power Averett University.  Fertitta had a .658 hitting pct. for the week while averaging 4.42 kills per game, 1.0 blocks per game and 1.25 digs per game.  She posted double-digit kills in each event with a high of 16 against Ferrum.

Vollyeball Honor Roll

Tricia Davis, Bridgewater College, Senior - Setter
Davis was named to the all-tournament team at the Gettysburg Blast Invitational. In BC's four matches Davis averaged 8.8 assists per game as the Eagles finished 1-3 during the tournament. She also averaged 3.0 digs per game. Davis had her best match in the five-set win over Gettysburg as she finished with 37 assists and 20 digs.

Christine Bottles, Eastern Mennonite University, Senior - Setter
Bottles filled the stats with 19 assists, six digs, three kills and three aces as the Lady Royals beat Mary Baldwin. Then she helped EMU go 3-1 at the Emory & Henry Tournament and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Courtney Kozar, Guilford College, Junior - Outside Hitter
Kozar led the Quakers in a 3-2 week with 2.56 kills and 2.81 points per set... had a match- and season-high 20 kills along with 12 digs and two blocks to rally Guilford past Meredith, 3-2, after the Quakers dropped the first two sets... hit a career-best .425 in the match and put away four kills in the decisive fifth set.

Rachel Huffman, Lynchburg College, Sophomore - Middle Hitter
Huffman led the Hornets to a 2-1 record at the LC Quad match Saturday. She blasted a team-high 27 kills, posting a .500 hitting percentage.  Huffman also added eight digs and six blocks.

Caroline English, Randolph College, Junior - Setter
English led Randolph with totals of 17 kills, four serve aces, and 64 assists at the Emory and Henry College Tournament this weekend.

Raena Winton, Randolph-Macon College, Junior - Right Side
Winton helped R-MC to a 4-1 week.  She posted a total of 52 kills on 121 attempts and added seven blocks and nine digs.  In a five game win over Mary Washington, she had 12 kills and two blocks.  She then helped R-MC to a 3-1 record at the Greensboro tournament, with 40 kills and just two errors, earning her all tournament team accolades for the second straight weekend.

Maggie Wagner, Roanoke College, Junior - Outside Hitter
Wagner was named All-Tournament Team at the 35th Annual Emory & Henry Tournament this weekend.  Totaled 43 kills and 51 digs in four matches this week.  Against Ferrum in the final match of the weekend, she posted season-bests of 15 kills and 20 digs as the Maroons defeated the Panthers, 3-1.  She added 11 kills and 16 digs in the loss to Averett.

Louise Brooks, Washington and Lee University, Junior - Middle Blocker
Brooks posted a team-high 20 kills in a 3-2 win over Southern Virginia ... had three solo blocks and a block assist in a 3-0 loss to No. 1 Emory ... hit .361 for the week and added 11 total blocks and eight service aces.
