RACHEL FERTITTA, Emory & Henry College, Sophomore - Middle Hitter

Fertitta, a sophomore from Roanoke, Virginia, led the Wasps this week with 5.07 kills per game, a .353 hitting pct., 1.20 blocks per game, 0.8 digs per game and 6.23 points per game.  She had at least 14 kills in each contest, topping 20 twice.  She had 21 winners against Guilford in the final ODAC match of the season to open the week.  She closed the week with 24 kills and five blocks in a five-game match with Piedmont.  For the season, Fertitta leads the ODAC overall kills (406), kils per game (4.37), overall blocks (119) and blocks per game (1.28).  She is second in the league with a .370 hitting percentage.

Erika Dirnagl, Bridgewater College, Senior - Outside Hitter
Dirnagl helped lead the Eagles to a 3-2 record on the week. She had 14 kills to lead the Eagles to a 3-0 victory over rival EMU in ODAC play. The Eagles then finished 2-2 at the tough St. Mary’s tournament where the four teams BC played had a combined record of 89-38. She had 15 kills and a .700 hitting percentage as the Eagles swept Gallaudet (21-13). Against Salisbury (28-4) Dirnagl finished with 16 kills and a .600 hitting percentage. For the week she averaged 3.94 kills per set during the five matches and finished with a .378 hitting percentage.

Jill Kubichan, Randolph-Macon College, Senior - Libero
Kubichan helped R-MC to a 5-1 week by averaging 5.9 digs in 19 games played during the week for the Yellow Jackets. Kubichan totaled 113 digs during the six matches this week, including her second 30 dig performance of the year against Birmingham Southern at the Emory Halloween Tournament. Kubichan also had 25 digs in a win over Berry and 21 stops in a road win at regional rival NC Wesleyan. Offensively, she also had 7 serving aces and four assists.

Maggie Wagner, Roanoke College, Junior - Outside Hitter
Wagner totaled 43 kills, 50 digs and four blocks in two matches last week against Averett and Washington & Lee. Had a career-best 28 kills against Averett and had 25 digs in both matches last week.
