Alderfer, a sophomore from Broadway, Va., was the top ODAC finisher at the Hornet Harrier hosted by Shenandoah University at Kernstown Battlefield, site of the 2018 ODAC Championships. Alderfer finished ninth overall out of 193 runners with a time of 19:52.9 on the six-kilometer course. That set a new personal-best at that distance by 18 seconds. His efforts helped Eastern Mennonite to seventh (194 points) in the team table of 20 squads.
