ODAC Baseball Schedule Update | Inclement Weather

FOREST, Va. --- Mother Nature continues to cause alterations to ODAC spring championship schedules with the latest round of inclement weather affecting the tournament structure for the upcoming ODAC Baseball Tournament.

With weather expected for the weekend, the tournament is going to start a day early with two games on campus. Originally scheduled for the afternoon and evening on Friday, May 10 in Salem, the first two games of the tournament will be hosted by #1 Randolph-Macon College and #2 Roanoke College on Thursday, May 9. The Yellow Jackets will host #4 Virginia Wesleyan University at 3:30 p.m. ET at Estes Park in Ashland. The Maroons will take on #3 Shenandoah University at Kiwanis Field in Salem. Game time is set for 8:00 p.m. ET

On Friday, the tournament will use two fields at 11:30 a.m. ET. The winners of Thursday's two games will play at Salem Memorial Ballpark (Game 4), while the two teams that do not win on Thursday will play at Kiwanis Field (Game 3). The winner of Game 4 will move on to the championship game (Game 6) in the double-elimination format. The team that does not win Game 4 will face the winner of Game 3 at Kiwanis Field in an elimination game (Game 5). That game will be played at Salem Memorial at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Saturday's schedule will begin at 11:00 a.m. ET at Salem Memorial with the first of two possible championship games. If the "if necessary" game (Game 7) is needed, that will be played at 3:00 p.m. ET.
