FOREST, Va. --- The final game did not finish until after midnight early Sunday morning, but the 2022 ODAC Baseball Tournament field has been determined, setting up conference teams for two weekends of competition. Nationally sixth-ranked University of Lynchburg tops the eight-team field following a 16-4 run through its league slate.

ODAC teams will begin with four best-of-three series hosted by the top-four seeds next weekend, May 6-8. Days and game times will be determined as competitors work through any scheduling concerns surrounding exams and graduation. The four teams that advance from the first round series will travel to High Point, N.C., for double-elimination play at Truist Point ballpark. Games are slated for May 13-15.

The top four seeds were determined without the need for tiebreakers. Joining top-seeded Lynchburg as first round series hosts are second-seeded and nationally 21st-ranked Shenandoah University, third-seeded Randolph-Macon College, and fourth-seeded Washington and Lee University.

Tiebreakers were needed to assign the fifth seed. Both Bridgewater College and Roanoke College finished with 10-8 league records. The Eagles swept the Maroons in their regular season matchup, giving BC the leg up head-to-head and the fifth seed. Bridgewater will travel to W&L for its opening series. Roanoke heads to Randolph-Macon for a best-of-three matchup.

The final two seeds were set outright from the standings. Hampden-Sydney College sits seventh and will play at Shenandoah in its opening series. Eastern Mennonite University rounds out the field as the eighth seed. The Royals will meet Lynchburg in the Hill City.
