ODAC Men's Soccer Tournament | Eight-Team Field Set

Hampden-Sydney is Top Seed for Second Straight Tournament

FOREST, Va. --- Hampden-Sydney College owns the top seed in the conference's postseason tournament for the second straight time, albeit 18 months separated from its previous seeding assignment. The Tigers posted a perfect 8-0 record to stand atop the league table with the first ODAC Spring Men's Soccer Tournament on tap for this week.

Washington and Lee University enters as the second seed for the second time in as many tournaments, while Randolph-Macon College jumps up two rungs from the 2019 postseason to the third seed.

The next three seeds needed ODAC tiebreakers to determine with Guilford College, University of Lynchburg, and Randolph College each finish the campaign at 5-2-1. The second step in the leagues procedures -- the ODAC 5-Point Tiebreaker modified to apply to common opponents -- sifted thru the three squads with Lynchburg earning fourth position. The WildCats will play as the fifth seed, and the Quakers slot in the eight-team field in sixth position.

Randolph makes the quick trip across town to Lynchburg for quarterfinal action. Guilford heads to Ashland for its opening game at Randolph-Macon. Roanoke College sits seventh in the field and heads up I-81 to Lexington for a showdown with Washington and Lee. Ferrum College earned the eighth seed and will play at Hampden-Sydney.

Tournament play begins on Tuesday, April 6, with four quarterfinal games at the top four seeds. The semifinals will be competed on Friday, April 9, at the highest remaining seed on each side of the bracket. The championship is slated for Sunday, April 11, at the highest remaining seed. Game times will be announced as they become available.
