FOREST, Va. --- After one year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ODAC Swimming Championships return to the world-class Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C., for four days of competition to kickoff the conference's winter championship season.

Competition begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on Thursday with timed finals in the 800-yard freestyle. The remaining three days feature prelminary and finals sessions each day. Prelim sessions begin at 10:00 a.m. ET on all three days. The finals on Friday and Saturday start at 6:00 p.m. ET, while Sunday's finals commence at 5:00 p.m. ET.

Four schools were unable to compete at last season's championships due to respective campus protocols or other situations surrounding the pandemic. All return to action this weekend, leading to a 22-team concurrent affair that features 12 women's programs and 10 men's squads competing in 36 total events (18 per gender).
Expectations are high in terms of predicted swimmer performance with reigning men's champion Roanoke College and defending women's champion University of Lynchburg featuring rosters that are just as talented as lat year's editions. Each will have to contend with the return of an in-form Washington and Lee University after a year away from the competition. The Generals have won a combined 36 ODAC championships including 30 women's crowns and six of the seven men's trophies handed out since the sport was officially added to the league's sponsorship in 2014-15.
The official "psych" sheet shows why there is so much anticipation for this year's championship. Times posted by league athletes in 2021-22 not only have them poised to challenge the championship results from last season, but also threaten the conference's overall and championship record books.
Fans can follow along with results via the ODAC championship website and the 2022 results page. Event winners and record-breakers will be noted along with links to results following each session. Live results will be posted to the MeetMobile app, available on both iOS and Android devices. Heat sheets will also be available on the results page as well as through MeetMobile.
