ODAC Women's Soccer Tournament | 8-Team Bracket Announced

Generals are Top Seed After Unbeaten Season

FOREST, Va. --- The first ODAC spring women's soccer tournament features a second straight unbeaten team as the field's top seed. Washington and Lee University marched thru its conference slate with an unblemished 7-0 record as part of an 8-0 overall campaign. The Generals enter as the #1 seed in the eight-team field as they go in search of a fifth league crown.

Bridgewater College sits second in the bracket following Saturday's result against W&L. Roanoke College locked up third position with its win over the University of Lynchburg also on Saturday. Virginia Wesleyan University rounds out the top-four seeds in fourth position.

Lynchburg will play as the fifth seed and travel to Virginia Wesleyan in the quarterfinals. Randolph-Macon College, last year's ODAC champion, occupies the sixth position and will play its quarterfinal at Roanoke against the Maroons.

Conference tiebreakers determined the seventh and eighth teams in the field. The deadlock between Shenandoah University and Guilford College went six steps deep in the ODAC's women's soccer procedures with goals allowed against common opponents awarding seventh position to the Hornets and the eighth seed to the Quakers. SU will take a quick job down I-81 to Bridgewater in the quarterfinals, while GC will travel north to Lexington to face the Generals.

In addition to teams that had previously opted out of the spring season or saw their campaigns close prior to the end of the schedule, Ferrum College also will not be able to compete in the tournament due to its COVID-19 pandemic protocols within the program.
