Seeding Set for ODAC Women's Tennis Tournament

Washington and Lee Eyes 28th Conference Championship

FOREST, Va. --- Washington and Lee University continued its historical dominance of the ODAC women's tennis ranks as the Generals ran thru its league slate with a perfect 11-0 record to secure the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Women's Tennis Tournament. The Generals will be one of four quarterfinal hosts, the remainder of which were partially determined thru tiebreakers.

Randolph-Macon College and Lynchburg College wrapped up the second and third seeds, respectively, clear of any tied scenario, but the next three positions in the eight-team field took a little extra analysis to determine. Bridgewater College won a head-to-head tiebreakers over Randolph College and Roanoke College, earning the Eagles the fouth seed. They will host the fifth-seeded WildCats on Tuesday.

Sixth-seeded Roanoke will travel to Lynchburg for quarterfinal play, while seventh-seeded Virginia Wesleyan University makes its shortest possible trip to Randolph-Macon. Sweet Briar College rounds out the field in eighth position and a trip to Lexington for the quarterfinals.

The four winners from the quarterfinal rounds will take to the Everett Tennis Center at Virginia Wesleyan University for the semifinals and finals. VWU plays host to both the women's and men's final fours on Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6.

Match 4: #6 Roanoke at #3 Lynchburg

Semifinals - Saturday, May 5 - Virginia Wesleyan University
Match 5:  Winner Match 1 vs. Winner Match 2 – 8:30 a.m.
Match 6:  Winner Match 3 vs. Winner Match 4 – 11:00 a.m.

Championship - Sunday, May 6 – Virginia Wesleyan University
Match 7:  Championship – Winner Match 5 vs Winner Match 6 – 10:00 a.m.
