ODAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

THRU WEEK PRIOR TO: JANUARY 2, 2012

MEN'S BASKETBALL
D.J. Woodmore, Virginia Wesleyan, Sophomore, Guard
Woodmore, a sophomore from Virginia Beach, Va., picks up his second straight weekly award after leading the second-ranked Marlins (by D3hoops.com) to a pair of wins over the holiday break. Woodmore scored 54 points in those contests, including a career-high 35 in a 108-80 win over Lynchburg College. That total was eight short of tying VWC's single-game scoring record. He hit career-high totals of 13 field goals, including five triples, against the Hornets. He also scored 19 points in a 96-74 victory over Wesley College. For the week, Woodmore connected on 19-of-34 field goals and 7-of-15 three-pointers. He also pulled down nine rebounds and dished out five assists as Virginia Wesleyan moved to 9-1 on the season.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Meg Ingram, Washington and Lee, Senior, Guard
Ingram, a senior from Greensboro, N.C., helped the Generals to a 1-1 showing during the holiday break as she averaged 18.5 points over those two outings. Against Christopher Newport, Ingram's final two points of a 14-tally showing were the most important as she sank a pair of free throws with nine seconds to play to give the Generals a 51-50 win on the road. She also handed out five assists. In a loss to Ferrum, Ingram posted a game-high 23 points that included five makes from beyond the arc. For the season, Ingram is averaging 11.9 points per game.
