ODAC Players of the Week

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Khory Moore, Virginia Wesleyan, So., Guard
Moore, a sophomore from Arlington, Va., helped the Marlins to a pair of conference wins, including a matchup of teams garnering recognition towards the D3hoops.com national top-25 poll. Moore opened with 27 points in an 83-82 victory over Lynchburg College, which is receiving votes towards the top-25. Moore was 10-of-10 from the line, including a crucial pair in the final minute of play to help the eight-ranked Marlins hold off the Hornets. He added three rebounds, four steals and a pair of blocked shots. In a 73-60 win over Washington and Lee, Moore notched 13 points with three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a blocked shot. For the season, Moore is second in the league in scoring (18.2 ppg). He's third in three-pointers made (33) and total points scored (219) and fourth in free throw shooting (.824).

SWIMMING
John Carmody, Washington and Lee, Fr.
Carmody, a freshman from West Des Moines, Iowa, helped the Generals defeat Hampden-Sydney in a dual meet between the two schools as both returned to action following the winter break. Carmody won twice individually and was a member of one relay victory. He touched the wall first in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 0:22.54, improving upon his previous ODAC top-10 time. He added a solo win in the 100-yard freestyle in 0:50.06. He and his teammates claimed top prize in the 200-yard freestyle relay, stopping the watches in 1:28.73.

SWIMMING
Natalie Brendsel, Washington and Lee, So.
Brendsel, a sophomore from Oakton, Va., helped the Generals post a dual meet win over Bridgewater College in their return to ODAC waters in the new year. Brendsel won twice and swam a leg of a winning relay. She picked her solo triumphs in two freestyle sprints. She claimed the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 0:25.07, coming up just 0.01-seconds short of the top-five in the ODAC this season. She also won the 100-yard freestyle, registering a time of 0:55.65, which slots seventh this year. She and her teammates won the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:42.06.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Sarah Parsons, Randolph-Macon, Sr., Guard
Parsons, a senior from Glen Allen, Va., helped the Yellow Jackets extend their winning streak to five games with a pair of ODAC victories, including one over previously league-unbeaten and preseason #1 Lynchburg College. Parsons went for 18 points in the Yellow Jackets 75-56 road win at LC, adding three rebounds with four assists and three steals. She followed that up with 21 points, hitting a trio of three-pointers, in a 74-61 victory at Roanoke. She was 7-of-14 from the field and 4-of-4 from the stripe. She added three boards, two assists and a steal. For the season, Parsons is third in the conference in scoring (16.1 ppg) and overall points scored (193). She leads the ODAC in free throws made (49), shooting them at an 81.7-percent clip (8th).
