Hedrick, a freshman from Bridgewater, Va., helped the Royals to a 4-1 week that included three wins in one day (March 7). Hedrick was 7-for-19 (.368) with five runs scored and seven driven in. He also stole a pair of bases and walked twice towards a .409 OBP. He hit safely in all five contests, collecting a pair of two-hit games. He went 5-for-11 on EMU's three-win day, driving in seven runs. Hedrick is now batting .322 with 20 RBI on the season.

In a 0-3 week for the Quakers, Smith batted .462
(6-for-13) with three runs scored and a RBI. He smacked a
pair of doubles and registered three two-hit games.
Spencer Wiles, Hampden-Sydney (Jr., OF - Belmont,
N.C.)
Wiles went 5-for-8 in the Tigers' doubleheader split
with Roanoke. He had three hits in H-SC's 12-2 win, including
a double. He added a stolen base to his two hits in game one
(L, 13-6).
Michael Trentham, Randolph-Macon (So., OF -
Midlothian, Va.)
Trentham went 3-for-7 in the Yellow Jackets sweep
(3-0, 5-1) of Washington and Lee. He had two hits with a
stolen base in game one. He was also perfect in the field on
seven chances.
Lew Johnson, Shenandoah (So., OF - Mechanicsville,
Va.)
Johnson went 5-for-8 with three runs scored and two
doubles in a sweep of Guilford (8-2, 4-2). He had three hits,
including both doubles, in game one. He added a stolen base
in game 2.
