Brandon Miller, Lynchburg, Jr., Pitcher

Miller, a junior from Vesuvius, Va., recorded back-to-back complete game victories last week for the Hornets.  He opened with nine full innings to earn an 8-1 win over Eastern Mennonite.  He gave up the one run on five hits without a walk.  He fanned seven Royals.  He struck out seven Yellow Jackets over the weekend as Lynchburg topped Randolph-Macon, 16-0.  Miller again went all nine frames, shutting out R-MC on seven hits while walking a pair.  Miller has won a conference-best seven games against three losses.  He boasts a 2.58 earned run average covering an ODAC-high 66.1 innings of work.

Baseball Pitcher Honor Roll

Corey Armentrout, Bridgewater (Jr., LHP - Harrisonburg, Va.)
Armentrout made a pair of appearances in wins for the Eagles.  He earned the save in a 12-6 win over Shenandoah with three shutout innings of relief.  He came back four days later and fired seven innings of five-hit ball in a 9-6 win at Hampdne-Sydney.  He gave up two runs while walking three and fanning eight.

Drew Crawford, Guilford (Jr., P - Newport, Tenn.)
Crawford led the Quakers to an 8-1 win over EMU with 8.1 strong innings to pick up his third win of the year.  He gave up one run on eight hits with one walk and two strikeouts.

Reggie Johnson, Hampden-Sydney (So., RHP - Dunnsville, Va.)
Johnson went seven solid innings in a 3-0 loss to Lynchburg.  He gave up on run on seven hits with seven strikeouts.  He did not issue a free pass.

Jamie Hendrick, Randolph-Macon (Sr., LHP - Chesterfield, Va.)
Hendrick made a pair of starts last week for R-MC, earning a win and a no decision.  He went seven strong frames in a 4-3 win over H-SC, but did not factor in the win.  He gave up two runs on nine hits with one walk and five strikeouts before leaving the game with the lead.  On the week, he picked up the win with five innings of work in a 20-1 triumph against Roanoke.  He allowed one unearned run on six hits with four strikeouts.

Darrell Thompson, Shenandoah (So., LHP - Stephens City, Va.)
Thompson went the distance in defeating Emory & Henry, 5-2.  He gave up two runs on five hits with one walk and six punchouts in a full nine-inning day.
