Petock, a sophomore from Woodbridge, Va., helped lead the Eagles to a 6-0 week that included four conference victories. Petock went 9-for-25 in the six wins, collecting at least one hit in each game. Among his nine knocks were a double and homer, helping him to 11 runs batted in and six runs scored. He drove in five runs and had a pair of hits in the Eagles 12-6 win over Shenandoah. He also had multiple RBI in game one of a doubleheader sweep of Hampden-Sydney, hitting a three-run homer towards a 9-6 victory. Petock is batting .337, tops among BC's starters.
Baseball Player Honor Roll
Adam Posey, Eastern Mennonite (Sr., OF/P - Poquoson,
Va.)
Posey put together a solid week on the hill and at
the dish despite the Royals 2-4 week. Posey went 12-for-26
with seven runs scored and four RBI. He had four hits in a
loss to W&L and three knocks with a pair of RBI that included a
walk-off single in a 6-5 win over Lynchburg. Posey also threw
15 innings on the week, picking up the win in an eigh-inning effort
against Guilford (15-5).
John Macon Smith, Guilford (Sr., 1B - Greensboro,
N.C.)
Smith hit .533 (8-for-15) in the Quakers' 2-2
week. He had a double, triple and homer while driving in
seven runs and scoring four times. He belted a grand slam and
collected five total RBI in a 12-10 loss at Roanoke to start the
week. He also tripled home the winning run in the eighth
inning of GC's 3-2 win over E&H.
Lincoln Evans, Lynchburg (Jr., OF - Troutville,
Va.)
Evans hit .435 (10-for-23) with four multi-hit games
in the Hornets' 4-1 week. He ripped three doubles, scored
five runs and drove in six. He also stole three bases.
His 12 doubles this season are fourth in the ODAC.
Nicholas Maiolo, Randolph-Macon (So., C - Powhatan,
Va.)
Maiolo hit .409 (9-for-22) and drove in 12 runs as
the Yellow Jackets split the week agains their ODAC foes, going
3-3. He had a pair of doubles and two homers, with both long
shots coming in a 20-1 win over Roanoke. His four RBI in that game
came after he collected three RBI in game one against the
Maroons.
Billy Arens, Shenandoah (So., IF/RHP - Purcellville,
Va.)
Arens went 11-for-21 with a pair of doubles and four
RBI in a 4-1 week for SU. He also scored five times,
including three runs to go with three hits and two RBI in an 11-3
non-conference win over Messiah.
Ty Boothe, Virginia Wesleyan (Fr., IF - Virginia Beach,
Va.)
Boothe went 4-for-9 in a 2-1 week for the Marlins,
including a 2-for-4 showing in a 2-0 win over Roanoke. He
drove in the second run of that contest.
