Colin Selby, Randolph-Macon, Jr., Pitcher

Selby, a junior from Chesapeake, Va., started his season with a victory in a 5-3 decision in game two over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Selby went five scoreless and hitless innings with his only baserunner allowed coming in his final inning. He rolled up three ground ball outs in the first inning and then sent the next nine batters walking back to the dugout via strikeouts. He got his career-best 10th punchout as the second out in the fifth inning before giving up a two-out walk. A ground out ended the frame and his season-opening outing.

Brody Holloman, GC: came out of the pen to earn an 8-4 win over William Peace. He gave up one hit and one walk while fanning three in 2.0 innings on the hill.

David Goulding, LC: made two relief appearances totaling five innings including a three-inning save in an 8-3 win at Averett. Gave up two hits and stuck out three in that outing. Surrendered just one hit with two punchouts in two frames of a 9-3 loss at Methodist.

Matt Henderlite, RC: Worked four innings of relief to earn a 9-1 victory over Rutgers-Newark. Gave up four hits with three strikeouts in a shutout appearance.

Jay Crusemire, VWU: Went 7.0 strong innings to earn a 4-3 win over Ferrum. Gave up one run on seven hits with a walk and 10 strikeouts in his first outing of the season.

David Van Geluwe, W&L: Took a perfect game into a fifth inning in a 4-2 win over Southern Virginia. Surrendered a leadoff walks and a hit in the fifth inning. Finished with five strikeouts in 5.0 frames on the hill.
