Goodman, a sophomore from Poquoson, Va., helped the Eagles stay in the running for second in the ODAC field hockey standings by leading Bridgewater to a comeback victory over Randolph-Macon last week. Goodman kicked off the game's scoring with the only first half goal of the contest, but Randolph-Macon added two in the second half to take a 2-1 lead. Goodman knotted the game with a little less than seven minutes to go, scoring the final goal of regulation. She completed her hat-trick 4:26 into the extra frame, propelling the Eagles to victory. Goodman leads BC with eight goals this season.
Field Hockey Honor Roll
Lindsay Leonard, Lynchburg, Junior, Attack
Leonard scored four goals and added two assists in both games
last week. She scored two goals and an assist in a 5-1 win over
Shenandoah University and registered two goals and an assist in a
7-0 win over Eastern Mennonite. Leonard leads the ODAC in goals
(26) and points (61). She is also second in the conference in
assists (9). The Yorktown, Va. native is fourth in the ODAC in
goals per game (1.69) and points per game (3.92)
Lauren Seal, Randolph-Macon, Sophomore,
Attack
Seal notched a goal and four assists in a 1-1 week for the Yellow
Jackets. She had an assist in a 3-2 overtime loss to
Bridgewater, and followed that with a goal and three helpers in a
5-2 triumph against Washington and Lee. Seal ranks third
in the conference in points (24), and assists (8) and sits fourth
in shots (49).
Lianna Hachborn, Roanoke, Sophomore, Attack
Hachborn scored a goal and added an assist against Virginia
Wesleyan in a 2-1 win. Roanoke went 2-0 last week with wins
over VWC and Washington and Lee (2-1).
Sarah DeLuca, Shenandoah, Junior,
Midfielder
DeLuca helped the Hornets to Shenandoah's first ODAC win
in any sport with the final two goals in a 4-0 win over Sweet
Briar.
