Nikki Simpao, Lynchburg, So., Forward

Simpao, a sophomore from Stafford, Va., helped Lynchburg to a big ODAC win over Washington and Lee to catapult the Hornets to the top of the league standings. Simpao found the back of the net twice against the Generals, including the eventual game-decider, in Lynchburg's 3-1 win on Saturday. LC now sits atop the conference standings at 4-0. For the season, Simpao is second in the ODAC in both points (26) and goals scored (11).

Field Hockey Honor Roll

Ali Bishop, Bridgewater (Fr. - GK)
Bishop made 22 saves in the Eagles 1-1 week.  She came up with 13 stops in a 1-0 win over Roanoke. She then stopped a penalty stroke and chipped in nine saves in a 2-1 overtime loss to Juniata.

Hannah Daley, Eastern Mennonite (Sr. - GK)
Daley returned to keeper for the first time since the middle of 2015 and responded with nine saves in a 3-2 loss to Virginia Wesleyan.

Kaitee Nicholas, Randolph-Macon (Sr. - F)
Nicholas scored once in the Yellow Jackets 3-2 loss to Virginia Wesleyan, and then added an assist on R-MC's goal in a 8-1 setback to Mary Washington.

Shelbi Holloman, Roanoke (Sr. - F)
Holloman helped RC rebound from a 1-0 loss to Bridgewater with three goals in a 9-0 triumph over Sweet Briar. She broke the Maroons career goals scored and points records in the process, now standing with 53 goals and 122 assists in just short of four seasons at Roanoke.

Taylor Marshall, Virginia Wesleyan (Sr. - F)
In the Marlins 3-0 week, Marshall helped VWC recover from a 2-0 deficit at Randolph-Macon by scoring all three Marlins goals in a 3-2 overtime triumph. VWC also topped Eastern Mennoninte (3-2) and Transylvania (3-1) on the week.
