Boyan, a freshman from High Point, North Carolina, had Guilford's best showing (3rd) among 73 competitors at the Tom and Bettie O'Briant Memorial. He shot 74-76-150 for a 10-over-par score over 36 holes. Boyan had the low score among 22 ODAC contestants, and helped Guilford to 3rd place among 14 teams, tops among four ODAC teams represented.
