    Ratner, a sophomore from Asheville, N.C., led Guilford to a fourth-place team finish at the Emory Spring Invitational at Stonemont Golf Course in Stone Mountain, Ga. He fired rounds of 73 and 77 to finish in a tie for eighth overall with a 10-over-par 150. Ratner leads the nationally top-ranked Quakers into the 2011 ODAC Golf Championship April 18-20 at Bay Creek Resort & Club in Cape Charles, Va. Guilford owns a 297.4 team average, tops in the conference. Ratner boasts the ODAC best individual stroke average at 73.1, leading a Quakers' squad in which all five of its tournament players average 77.4 strokes per round or fewer.

    Redwood, a senior from Virginia Beach, Va., was the top finishing Division III player in a rain-shortened Roanoke Spring Invitational at the Hanging Rock Golf Club in Salem, Va. Redwood turned in a 27-hole total of 107 (two-under; 36-71) to finish in second place overall. The defending ODAC individual champion helped pace the Eagles to a second place team finish in BC's final tune-up prior to the ODAC Championships at Bay Creek next week.

    Ratner, a sophomore from Asheville, Va., shot 68-69-76--213 to place 15th among 160 golfers at the 40th Annual Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at Paradise Point Golf Club this weekend. Guilford placed 13th in the tournament, competing in the Gold (Gold Course) portion of the event. Ratner shot two under par on Friday, three under par on Saturday, and four over par on Sunday. He placed the highest of any ODAC competitor in the field.

    Wyndorf, a senior from Chadds Ford, Va., tied for 18th as the top ODAC finisher at the ultra-competitive Jekyll Island Intercollege Invitational last week. He posted a three-over par 219 over three rounds. He carded a 69 in the first round, putting him into a tie for the lead at that point. He finished with rounds of 74 and 76 to match the total of three other players.
  • TIM GAVRICH, Washington and Lee, Senior

    Gavrich, a senior from Avon, Conn., won the Pine Needles Invitational held at the Pine Needles Resort in Southern Pines, N.C., on Monday and Tuesday. He carded a +6 score of 76-72—148 to win the tournament by one stroke. It was his second individual win on the year after claiming the Virginia Intercollegiate held at the Wintergreen Resort in October. As a team, W&L finished seventh overall at the Pine Needles Invitational. Gavrich currently holds a 75.2 scoring average over 14 rounds played in 2010-11.

    Ratner, a sophomore from Asheville, N.C., shot 79-73-152 to place second among 55 golfers at the Old North State Invitational in New London, N.C. He bounced from 14th to second with his one-over-par 73 in Tuesday’s final round. Ratner's efforts helped Guilford place second in the eight-team field.

    Hennick, a junior from Kenmore, Wash., picks up his second weekly award of the season. Hennick won medalist honors at the 90-man O’Briant-Jensen Memorial with a 69-73-142. The victory marked his third career title and his first as a Quaker. He was the first Guilford student to win the tournament in the 33-year history of the event. Hennick took a one-stroke lead after the first round with a one-under 69 that matched his lowest round of the fall. He helped the Quakers win the 17-team tournament by eight strokes over Methodist University.

    Ratner, a sophomore from Asheville, N.C., picks up his second straight weekly award. Ratner placed third among 75 golfers at the Davidson Invitational with a two-under-par 68-71-75--214. Guilford was the lone non-Division I team at the event. Ratner's four-under 68 matched a season low and lowered his season stroke average to a team and ODAC-best 71.7 in 10 rounds. Ratner has three third-place finishes and a 12th-place effort through four tournaments.

    Ratner, a sophomore from Asheville, N.C., placed third among 90 of Division III’s top golfers at the Greensboro-Gordin Classic Invitational with a 68-76-144. His four-under 68 marked a career low. Ratner moved into first place in the Oct. 13 Golfstat.com Division III Head-to-Head Player Standings with his efforts through the Greensboro-Gordin Classic. He lowered his season stroke average to a team-best 71.86 in seven rounds. Ratner has two third-place finishes and a 12th-place effort through three tournaments.

    Gavrich, a senior from Avon, Conn., helped lead Washington and Lee to a third place finish at the Virginia State Intercollegiate over the weekend by winning the individual portion of the event. Gavrich shot a four-under par score of 70-70—140 to finish four strokes ahead of teammate Wilson Anthony for the individual crown. For the year, Gavrich has played six rounds and leads W&L with a 73.8 scoring average.
  • TRAVIS GAHMAN, Bridgewater College, Junior

    Gahman, a junior from Souderton, Pa., turned in a solid week on the greens with a pair of top three finishes, including a victory over the weekend at the Ted Keller Memorial. Gahman kicked off the week at the Hampden-Sydney Invitational with a strong performance which forced a three-way playoff atop the leaderboard. Gahman finished in third place after the playoff, but redeemed himself over the weekend. On Saturday, the junior fired a four-under-par 68 to take over the top spot in the field before posting a strong even-par round on the final day to earn the individual title by four strokes.

    Hennick, a junior from Kemore, Wash., placed sixth at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate in his Guilford debut, the top finish among non-NCAA Division I golfers. He shot 69-71-73-213 (-3) for the tournament on the par-72, 6,761-yard Sea Trail Resort Rees Jones course. Hennick helped the Quakers place fifth among 12 teams with an even-par team score (291-288-298--864). Guilford was the lone Division III team in the Division I field.

    Wyndorff, a senior from Chadds Ford, Pa., won the opening event of the season as he led Randolph-Macon to the team title at the Shenandoah Invitational. Wyndorf posted a 1-under-par 143 (75-68) at the Virginia National Golf Club near Winchester, Va., to win by four strokes. It was his first win in 21 career events.
