  • James Mishoe, Guilford, Jr.
    April 22, 2019
    Mishoe, a junior from Cary, N.C., took on some of the nation's best players at the Discover Dekalb Emory Invitational over the weekend and finished in a tie for second place in a field of 82 players at the Smoke Rise Country Club in Tucker, Ga. Mishoe, the top-rated golfer in NCAA Division III by Golfstat, opened with an even-par 71 on the 6,535-yard layout. He followed with a 1-over 72 before closing with a second 71 for a 1-over 214, three shots back of Stephen Shephard from nationally second-ranked Huntingdon. Mishoe's efforts helped nationally sixth-ranked Guilford to third place in a field that featured seven teams ranked inside the top-21 in the country. The Quakers shot 28-over 880 (287-301-292), including a tournament team-low tying 287 in the first round.
  • Jesse Bartley, Bridgewater, Jr.
    April 15, 2019
    Bartley, a junior from Staunton, Va., earned her first career medal by winning the Shenandoah Shootout by four strokes at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club in Front Royal, Va. Bartley opened with a 12-over 83 on the par 71 layout set to 5,692 yards. Players added another nine holes to their day at 3,141 yards and a par of 36. Bartley posted a 3-over 39 to finish at 15-over 122 and four shots clear of teammate Amanda Kelley in the 19-person tournament. Bridgwater won the team title by 18 strokes over the host Hornets, finish at 79-over 507 (343-164).
  • Keith Cooper, Virginia Wesleyan, Sr.
    April 08, 2019
    Cooper, a senior from Suffolk, Va., put together a career day at the Marine Corps Intercollegiate at Camp Lejeune as he won the Scarlet medal a trio of impressive rounds. Cooper opened his tournament on the Gold Course and posted a 2-over 75 on the par 73 track set at 7,100 yards. He then set a new Marlins record on the Scarlet course with a 7-under 63 on the par 72 layout marked at a much shorter 5,900 yards. Cooper again too the Scarlet course in round three and didn't disappoint as he registered a 3-under 67 for a new personal three-round best 8-under 205 to win the Scarlet individual medal. The Marlins made some noise as a team, placing third of 14 squads in the Scarlet competition. Their day-two 282 set a new program record.

    Jones, a sophomore from Atlanta, Ga., picks up her first spring ODAC weekly honor and fourth overall on the year after tying for third overall out of 43 golfers at the Piedmont Spring Invitational hosted by Piedmont College at The Orchard Golf & Country Club in Clarkesville, Ga. Jones locked with three other players in third position at 15-over 159, which finished seven strokes off the pace by medalist Jillian Drinkard from Methodist University. Jones was consistent over her two rounds on the par 72 track set at 5,807 yards. She opened with an 8-over 80 before knocking one shot off her score in round two with a 7-over 79. Washington and Lee, ranked 16th in the latest Division III rankings by Golfstat, finished second of seven squads at 78-over 654 (326-328). Tenth-ranked Methodist won the event at 53-over 629.
  • Branson Terrell, Lynchburg, Sr.
    April 01, 2019
    Terrell, a senior from Lynchburg, Va., picks up his second weekly award of the season after leading Lynchburg to a tie for second place at the McDaniel Spring Invitational. In terrible conditions, especially on the second day, Terrell posted a 75 in round one to help the Hornets stand atop the leaderboard following the opening 18 holes. He posted a 77 on day two for a 8-over 152 and a tie for third place on the par-72 track set to 6,713 yards at The Bridges Golf Club in Abbottstown, Pa. Terrell and two others were one-shot off the leaders. A tiebreaker gave the title to Michael Lange from Rosemont. Lynchburg tied with Gettysburg for second at 51-over 627 (304-323). The 304 was the low-round of the tournament. McDaniel won at 43-over 619.
  • Emmy Saathoff, Randolph-Macon, Sr.
    April 01, 2019
    Saathoff, a senior from Catonsville, Md., competed twice for the Yellow Jackets last week, posting a pair of top-10 finishes. She opened by tying for sixth place at the Max and Susan Stith Invite hosted by Randolph-Macon at The Dominion Club. Saathoff posted rounds of 84 and 88 for a 28-over 172 total after 36 holes on the par 72 layout set at 5,809 yards. She was 25 shots off winner Erica Whitehouse from Christopher Newport. Randolph-Macon placed third as a team at 190-over 766 (393-373). Saathoff then improved two places in tying for fourth at the UMW Eagle Invitational hosted by Mary Washington at Augustine Golf Club in Stafford, Va. Saathoff posted a pair of 83's on the par 71 track set at 5,871 yards. She put her in a tie with Shenandoah's Natalie Hill at 24-over 166. Randolph-Macon finished fifth of 10 teams at 185-over 753 (368-385).

    March 25, 2019
    Nelson, a junior from Weems, Va., finished in a tie for second out of 48 golfers at the second Marlins Invitational this spring. Nelson locked with Averett's Ben Potter at 6-over 150 at the par 72 layout set to 6,900 yards at Beechwood Country Club in Ahoskie, N.C. Both came up two strokes shy of winner Jorgen Buskbjerg also of Averett. Nelson opened with a 5-over 77 before tightening up his play to a 1-over 73 in round two. Randolph-Macon finished tied for second as a team with Pfeiffer University at 51-over 627 (321-306).

    March 25, 2019
    Kingora, a junior from Sterling, Va., picked up a one-stroke victory over Amanda Kelley from Bridgewater at the second Marlins Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan this spring. Kingora fired an 18-over 162 over two rounds on the par 72 track set at 5,800 yards at the Beechwood Country Club in Ahoskie, N.C. She opened with 79, one of only two rounds under 80 in the tournament (the other a 77 by teammate Hannah Turner). Kingora tacked on an 83 in round two to secure the victory. Virginia Wesleyan finished third as a team at +186 762 (394-368).
  • Adam Hade, Hampden-Sydney, Jr.
    March 18, 2019
    Hade, a junior from Richmond, Va., competed in two events last week with a pair of top-25 finishes. Hade opened with three strong rounds at the adidas Intercollegiate at the Cotton Dike Course at Dataw Island. He finished tied for fourth out of 105 players at 1-over 217 following two even par rounds and a third round 73 on the par-72 track set at 6,789 yards. Hade's efforts helped nationally 14th-ranked Hampden-Sydney to second in the team standings at 22-over 886 (286-302-298). Hade then took his turn at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational, finishing in a tie for 22nd out of 150 players at 2-over par 218. He opened with a 69 on the par-72 layout set at 6,700 yards, just one off the low first round and two off the low-round of the tournament. He carded rounds of 74 and 75 the event. Hade helped H-SC to a tie for 11th of 30 teams at 23-over 887 (290-296-301).

    March 18, 2019
    Townsend, a sophomore from Greenville, S.C., was the ODAC's low player at the Jekyll Island Invitational hosted by Oglethorpe University at the Indian Mount G.C. in Jekyll Island, Ga. Townsend finished 14th overall out of 117 finishing players at 16-over 232 following three rounds on the par 72 layout set at 5,801 yards. She opened with an 82 before improving seven shots over the final two rounds with a pair of 75's. Her season average now sits at 77.0 thru eight rounds of play. Townsend's efforts helped nationally 19th-ranked Washington and Lee to fifth out of 21 teams at +95 959 (326-319-314).

    March 11, 2019
    Terrell, a senior from Lynchburg, Va., helped lead Lynchburg to its first team tournament victory since 2013 as he claimed medalist honors at the Hill City Invitational hosted by Lynchburg at Boonsboro Country Club. Terrell opened with a 3-under 69 on the par-72 layout set at 6,793 yards. It was the low-round of the tournament by two strokes. He followed up with a 1-over 73 in round two, tied for the second-lowest round of the day. Terrell finished with a 2-under 142, seven strokes clear of Nathan Ouimette from Southern Virginia in second place. Lynchburg racked up a 631 team score at 314-317, one stroke off the program's tournament score record.

    March 11, 2019
    Kelley, a senior from Newport News, Va., was the low ODAC golfer at the Pfeiffer Invitational hosted by Pfeiffer University at the Club at Hilton Head Lakes in Hardeeville, S.C. Kelley tied for sixth overall at 18-over 162. She carded rounds of 81 over both 18 hole sets on the par-72 layout set at 5,800 yards. Kelley helped Bridgewater finish fifth overall in a field mixed of Division II and Division III schools. The Eagles finished at 125-over 701 (353-348).
  • Beth Ann Townsend, Washington and Lee, So.
    March 04, 2019
    Townsend, a sophomore from Greenville, S.C., helped lead Washington and Lee to a tie for fifth out of 14 teams at the Callaway Gardens Collegiate on Saturday by tying for medalist honors. The event was shortened by one round due to inclement weather. Townsend carded a +2 score of 75 to tie with Bailey Plourde of Centre for first-place out of 88 golfers. She birdied the 18th hole to move into a tie for first. For the season, Townsend has played five rounds and she has recorded a 76.8 scoring average.
  • Brian Peccie, Washignton and Lee, Jr.
    February 18, 2019
    Peccie, a junior from Norfolk, Va., recorded his second tournament win in four chances this season, claiming the Invitation at Savannah Harbor Tournament hosted by William & Mary over the weekend. The tournament featured a field comprised almost exclusively of NCAA Division I programs, and Peccie totaled a 72-69-71 (-4) to win the tournament by one stroke. He birdied two of the final four holes to overtake Evan Davis of Belmont down the stretch. For the season, Peccie claims a 71.64 scoring average across 11 rounds played.

    Jones, a sophomore from Seymour, Tenn., paced the Wasps at the Maryville College Fall Invitational to cap the fall season. Jones earns his second weekly honor after placing fifth overall at 7-over 147 following two rounds on the par-70 layout at Egwani Farms Golf Course in Rockford, Tenn. He opened with a 2-over 72, the sixth-lowest round of the tournament. He finished play on the 6,432 track with a 5-over 75 to finish 11 shots off winner Tyler Bray from Maryville. Jones' efforts helped the Wasps to fourth in the team standings at 62-over 622 (309-313).

    Lambert, a sophomore from Charlotte, N.C., tied for second at the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial hosted by Guilford on the Dye Course at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. Lambert, along with teammate and Co-ODAC Men's Golfer of the Week James Mishoe, were the top conference finishers among 39 ODAC players and 96 total competitors. Lambert carded rounds of 72 and a career-low 68 on the par 71 track set at 6,654 yards for a 2-under tournament score of 140. That finished two strokes off winner Drew Mathers from Huntingdon College. Lambert, who made six birdies during his second round, finished second in the tournament with 10 overall birdies. Guilford finished first as a team at even-par 568 (287-281).

He finished two strokes off winner Drew Mathers from Huntingdon College. Mishoe made 27 pars over the course of the tournament. Guilford finished first as a team at even-par 568 (287-281).

    Lewis, a senior from Richmond, Va., picks up her second weekly award after earning medalist honors at the Randolph-Macon Fall Invitational at the Belmont Golf Course in Henrico, Va. Lewis bested 15 ODAC players on the way to posting a 79 on the par-73 layout set at 5,851 yards. Her card included two birdies and eight pars, including six on the back nine, en route to a three-stroke victory. Lewis' efforts helped Randolph-Macon to second in the team standings at 63-over 355.

    Mishoe, a junior from Cary, N.C., picks up his second weekly award of the fall after tying for second at the Golfweek Division III Invitational at the Raven Golf Club in Sandestin, Fla. Mishoe finished just one stroke behind medalist Dan Shepherd from Methodist University, posting a 6-under 207 over three rounds of competition on the par-71 track set at 6,659 yards. Mishoe went under par in all three rounds, posting a 1-under 70 in round one before turning in a 3-under 68 over the second set for 18 holes. He capped his performance with a 2-under 69. His efforts helped nationally eighth-ranked Guilford to sixth in the team standings at 21-over 873 (291-288-294). The tournament featured 13 of the top 27 teams in the latest Division III rankings by Golfstat including six in the top-10.

    Kelley, a senior from Newport News, Va., picked up her second collegiate medal at the Knights Invitational hosted by Southern Virginia University at Vista Links Golf Club in Buena Vista, Va. Kelley won by one stroke over Mia Koch from Randolph-Macon, firing a 9-over 81 on the par 72 layout set at 5,803 yards. She made three birdies over an even-par final nine to come back to claim the victory. Kelley's efforts also helped Bridgewater secure the team title by three strokes over R-MC at 60-over 348.

That was just two shots off eventual winner Arisa Kimura from New York University. Jones efforts helped Washington and Lee to a fourth place showing in the team standings at 46-over 622 (312-310).

    Mishoe, a junior from Cary, N.C., led the Quakers to third place at the Gordin Classic hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at Columbus Country Club in Columbus, Ohio. Mishoe placed fourth overall in a field of 78 players to earn all-tournament honors. His three round total of 212 was good for 4-under par on the par 72 layout set at 7,098 yards. He turned in rounds of 70, 71, and 71 to finish three strokes off the lead. Guilford shot 867 (287-295-285) as a team, 17 shots back of team champion Illinois Wesleyan.

    Lewis, a senior from Richmond, Va., was the top finished of 23 ODAC players and finish in a tie for second amongst 47 total competitors at the Green Turtle Invitational hosted by Shenandoah University. Lewis carded rounds of 77 and 75 on the par 71 layout set to 5,810 yards at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club. She finished at 10-over par just one off individual medalist Jordan Koller from York (Pa.) College. Her efforts helped Randolph-Macon to third in the team standings at 653 (331-322; +85).

    Martin, a freshman from Gloucester, Va., started off his collegiate career in winning fashion as he claimed medalist honors at the Tom Kinder Memorial hosted by Bridgewater College at Lakeview Golf Club in Harrisonburg, Va. Martin's win didn't come without a little extra effort, however, as he and teammate John Ferguson tied for first at 2-under 142 following two rounds on the par 72 layout set at 6,906 yards. Martin birdied the first playoff hole to secure the individual medal. He carded rounds of 70 and 72 against to match Ferguson's total following his 69-73 showing. The pair led the Tigers to a four-stroke win over host Bridgewater in the team standings at 1-over 577 (288-289) for the tournament.

    Jones, a sophomore from Atlanta, Ga., picks up her second weekly award of the season after leading Washington and Lee at the Williams Fall Invitational over the weekend. Jones tied for sixth overall after two rounds at Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Mass., posting rounds of 80 and 74 for a 12-over 154 on the par 71 track set at 5,826 yards. Chloe Levins from Middlebury College won (146) won the individual medal. Jones' efforts helped the Generals to eighth in the team standings at 670 (351-319) despite playing with just four players. New York University (622) won the team title.

    Peccie, a junior from Norfolk, Va., picked up right where he left off last season as the reigning NCAA Division III individual champion won the Division III Preview in his first outing of the season. Peccie, who doubled as the ODAC Men's Golfer of the Year in 2018, finished at 5-under 211 after three rounds at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky. He opened with a 2-over 74 on the par 72 track set at 7,190 yards. He reversed course in round two, carding a 5-under 67 before finishing with a 2-under 70 win by four strokes. He and runner-up Matt Organisak (-1, 215) from Emory University were the only two players under-par for the tournament. Peccie's efforts helped nationally fifth-ranked Washington and Lee to a tied for third in the team standings at 892 (314-286-292). The event featured 15 of the top 25 teams in the country.

    Longacre, a junior from Telford, Pa., put together a strong performance at the Bridgewater Invitational hosted by Bridgewater College at Lakeview Golf Club in Harrisonburg, Va. Longacre finished second overall with a new career-low round of 5-over 77 on the par 72 layout set at 5,804 yards. She was largely consistent throughout her round, posting 11 pars and two birdies. The runner-up finish ties her best career showing, while the 77 is one shot better than her previous best.

    Jones, a sophomore from Seymour, Tenn., won the Bob Dibble Classic hosted by Tusculum College at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn. Jones is the first Emory & Henry tournament medalist since the Wasps reinstated the program in 2016-17. Jones carded a pair of under-par rounds on the par 71 track set to 6,763 yards. He opened with a 1-under 70 before finishing with a 3-under 68 to win by three strokes at 4-under 138. His efforts helped Emory & Henry to third in the team standings at 606 (301-305).
