Robinson, a senior from Kings Mountain, N.C., picks up his second straight ODAC weekly award after helping Washington and Lee to a the team title in a strong field at the Royal Lakes Invitational hosted by Oglethorpe University. Generals set a new program record for 36-hole team score at 5-under par 571 with a 285 in round one followed by 286 in round two at Royal Lakes Golf and Country Club in Flowery Branch, Ga. Robinson hovered near the top of the leaderboard for the entire tournament on the way to tying for second with Jzeke Dukes from Greensboro College one shot behind medalist Tanner Bronnum from Birmingham Southern College. Robinson carded a two-day total of 7-under 137 on the par-72 track set to 6,717 yards. He was bogey-free over his first 18 holes with five birdies (four on the back nine) towards a 5-under 67. He was again under-par in round two at 2-under 70. He offset his only two over-par holes of the tournament - one bogey and one double - with five more birdies to match him with teammate Owen Malcolm and Gettysburg College's Patrick Kilcoyne with a tournament-best 10 birdies. Robinson, who ranks third in the ODAC with a 71.0 average over eight rounds of competition, led all players in par-4 scoring (6-under, 3.70 strokes/hole). Entering the tournament, Washington and Lee was rated 10th in Division III by Golfstat.com. Robinson was slotted sixth in the individual player ratings by Golfstat through October 11.
