Amani Narang, Sweet Briar, So.

Narang, a sophomore from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, picks up her first career ODAC women's golf weekly award after claiming medalist honors at the Knights Invitational in dramatic fashion. Narang birdied the par-5 475-yard 18th hole at Lexington Golf and Country Club, earning high honors on the first playoff tiebreaker over Sophia Martone from Bridgewater College. This is the second time she has topped a collegiate leaderboard and first-time doing so at a 36-hole tournament. Narang, who now has three top-10 finishes in as many starts this season, finished tied atop the table with Martone at 10-over 154 following 36 holes of competition. Narang opened with a 7-over 79 that featured a pair of birdies on holes 12 and 13. She improved four strokes to 3-over 75 in round two with birdies on #3 and #9. Narang is currently fourth in the conference with a 76.6 average covering five rounds of action. Her efforts on Monday and Tuesday helped Sweet Briar to eighth in the team standings at 175-over 751 (445-431).
