Echols, a senior from Martinsville, Virginia, led LC to three
wins this past week, including an ODAC victory over cross-town
rival, Randolph. Echols notched double figures in each contest, but
it was his performance in an overtime win against CNU that
catapulted the Hornets to the tournament title at CNU. Echols
scored 33 points to go along with seven rebounds and seven assists.
He tied the game with a jumper to send it into overtime, and then
scored 11 of LC's 12 points in OT, including the game-winning
three-pointer with 1.4 seconds to play. He currently leads the ODAC
in scoring (19.9ppg), assists (5.2apg) and steals (3.9spg). He is
second in minutes played (33.40mpg).
