Jones, a senior from Herndon, Va., shot 71.9-percent from the
field and averaged 19.2 points and 4.7 rebounds in a 3-0 week for
Randolph-Macon. In the season-opener against Marymount, Jones
scored a career-high 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the floor
while adding three boards, two assists and a pair of steals.
Jones then helped R-MC to the Gettysburg Tip-Off
championship. He was named MVP of the tournament after
posting 16 points versus both Shenandoah and the host Bullets.
For the week, Jones canned 23-of-32 shots and corralled 14
rebounds. He was also 3-of-8 from 3-point territory and made
9-of-12 free throws.
