Hubbard, a junior from Charlotte, N.C., has been a springboard for Hampden-Sydney's run to the #25 ranking in the D3hoops.com Top-25 poll as he posted a pair of double-doubles against to help the Tigers to wins over two of the toughest defensive teams in the ODAC. Hampden-Sydney has now won seven straight games and 14-of-15 contests, sitting just one game back of #2 Randolph-Macon at 10-1 in conference play and 16-4 overall. Hubbard, who has rattled off five straight double-doubles, picked up his eighth and ninth of the season the Tigers' 64-57 and 57-51 victories over #14 Guilford and at Roanoke, who is receiving votes towards the national poll. Hubbard paired 12 points with a game-high 11 rebounds against the Quakers. He blocked a career-high four shots and dished out a pair of assists while shooting 50-percent (5-of-10) from the field. In Salem, Hubbard registered a game-high 14 points with 10 boards. He buried a pair of three-pointers was 4-of-6 from the line while adding two assists and a steal to his line. For the season, Hubbard is now #1 in the ODAC in three-point shooting (20-of-41; 48.8%). He is second in rebounding (8.1), third in total boards (162), fourth in field goal shooting (55.8%) and defensive rebounds (115), and fifth in field goals made (115-of-206). He is averaging 14.2 points per game.
