Pokorny, a senior from Darien, Conn., came up huge in the clutch for nationally 17th-ranked Washington and Lee as he tallied the game-winning goal in overtime in the Generals 11-10 triumph over seventh-ranked York College (Pa.) on Saturday in their season-opener. Pokorny scored the decider with just over two minutes remaining in the extra frame. He finished with a game-high and career-best five points on two goals and a career-high three assists. His first goal came with 7:00 on the second quarter clock spurred a 9-3 run that the Generals used to complete their come-from-behind victory.
