Tucker Kindig, Shenandoah, Sr., Throws

Kindig, a senior from Spotsylvania, Va., required multiple adjustments to the Shenandoah record books following strong showings at both the Division I-heavy Colonial Relays hosted by the College of William & Mary and the Battleground Relays hosted by the University of Mary Washington. At the Colonial Relays, Kindig reset his own Hornets hammer throw record with a toss of 52.98 meters (173-10.00). That put him sixth in the championship draw of the event and first among Division III competitors. It eclipsed his throw of 51.36 meters at the W&L Carnival last month. Kindig's heave at the Colonial Relays would be #1 in the ODAC if not for his toss at the Battleground Relays the next day. He won the event with a throw of 53.58 meters (175-9.00), which is more than two meters further than the next closest ODAC competitor. That mark ranks eighth in Division III. Kindig also competed in the discuss at UMW, placing 12th at 31.54 meters (103-6.00).
