Hull, a graduate student from Chesterfield, Va., won four times last week in five decisions and six appearances as the Marlins locked up the top seed entering the ODAC Tournament. The four victories increased Hull's career total to 124 wins, tying her for #1 all-time in NCAA Division III history. She opened with a 16-1 win over Eastern Mennonite, working the first 3.0 innings in the five-frame victory. She did not allow a run or hit and did not walk a batter while fanning five Royals. Virginia Wesleyan, ranked second in the country, and #10 Emory & Henry then completed the series they began a few weeks prior, which was halted in the first game and restarted last week. VWU won the first game 10-0 in five innings with Hull going 3.0 frames. She did not allow a hit or run and walked one batter with four strikeouts. Hull then started game two and went the distance, giving up one run on four hits in seven innings. She wlaked four batters and struck out 15 Wasps on the way to a 4-1 triumph. Hull then suffered her third loss of the season in a 5-2 result against visiting Shenandoah. She gave up five runs on three hits with five walks and five strikeouts. She rebounded well in game one against Roanoke, working a full seven frames on the way to a 5-0 win. She did not allow a run and gave up just two hits with two walks and 11 strikeouts. She worked the final inning of game two -- a 1-0 Maroons win -- giving up a hit and striking out a pair. For the season, Hull is 16-3 with a 1.64 ERA in 102.2 innings of work. She has struck out 136 batters and teams are hitting only .143 against her.
