Adams, a first-year from Winterville, N.C., kicked off her collegiate career in almost the best way possible as she registered a no-hitter in a complete game shutout of Meredith in game two of a sweep (8-0, 3-0) of the Avenging Angels. Adams allowed three runners to reach base -- a walk, a hit batter, and an error -- with none advancing beyond second base. Adams struck out the first two collegiate batters she faced and sent the game's last batter packing on a swinging K to finish with eight punchouts. She retired the first four batters she faced and furthered that streak with 10 successive outs to close the contest. Adams also helped her own cause at the dish by walking and doubling in game two following a 1-for-3 effort with a RBI in game one.
