Kayla Davis, Randolph-Macon, So., Catcher

Davis, a sophomore from Powhatan, Va., helped Randolph-Macon start its season with a 3-1 showing at the Grand Slam Triangle Classic hosted William Peace University in Raleigh, N.C. Davis went 7-for-12 and slashed .583/.615/1.083 over the four contests as she hit safely and drove in at least one run in each outing. She opened scoring in a 4-1 win over Pfeiffer with a first inning RBI single. She doubled in a run in the first inning to start the Yellow Jackets offense in a 3-2 win over DePauw in the second game of day one. On day two, Davis went 3-for-3 with a RBI double and solo blast in a 9-1 win over Marymount (Va.). She capped her tournament with another RBI double in an 8-4 setback to N.C. Wesleyan.
