Banner Season Capped by All-ODAC Swimming TeamsApril 01, 2016It was a banner year for ODAC men's and women's swimming, highlighted by national championship performances and an abundance of records broken and reset. To cap the 2015-16 season, the ODAC announces its annual All-ODAC Men's and Women's Swimming Teams, which feature 65 athletes from its swimming membership.

Bartley Selected to Lead the Bridgewater Swimming ProgramMarch 21, 2016Bridgewater College has selected Laura Bartley as its new head swimming coach. Bartley, currently the program's assistant coach, will begin her leadership of the program in the 2016-2017 season, following the retirement of head coach Fran Smith.

Thetford, Rollo Collect Six All-American Honors at NCAA ChampionshipsMarch 19, 2016Washington and Lee University swimmers Tommy Thetford and Emily Rollo highlighted a very productive weekend for ODAC competitors at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, as the Generals' duo collected a trio of All-American honors apiece. Thetford added to his bounty with a pair of national titles, winning crowns in the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle events.

Washington and Lee's Thetford Wins National 200-Yard Freestyle TitleMarch 17, 2016Washington and Lee University sophomore Tommy Thetford highlighted a set of highly successful performances thru the first two days of the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships by winning the men's 200-yard freestyle title. Thetford enter the competition with the event's second-best time, but posted an ODAC and W&L record 1:36.87 to touch the wall nearly a second faster than the runner-up swimmer.

Seven ODAC Competitors Set for NCAA Swimming ChampionshipsMarch 15, 2016Seven swimmers from ODAC schools will take to familiar waters at the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, as the Greensboro Aquatic Center provides the venue for this year's season-ending affair. Over 500 competitors from across the country will spend four days in Greensboro, N.C., with competition slated to start the morning of Wednesday, March 16 and continue thru Saturday, March 19.

Generals Capture ODAC Men's and Women's Swimming TitlesFebruary 14, 2016For the second time in as many seasons, Washington and Lee University left the Greensboro Aquatic Centers with a pair of trophies as the Generals won both the men's and women's titles at the 2016 ODAC Swimming Championships. W&L collected 1,030.5 points to capture its ninth straight and 26th overall women's crown, while 1,036.0 proved the Generals' winning total in the men's ranks to wrap up the second season of ODAC men's swimming.

Previewing the Second Season of ODAC Men's SwimmingOctober 09, 2015The newest ODAC sport is set to embark upon its second season of competition as the conference's men's swimming members open their 2015-16 schedules. The league's 24th sport enjoyed a banner inaugural campaign, culminating in a championship event that not only saw expected meet records established in all 18 events competed, but just as many new overall records eclipsing performances during the regular season.

Washington and Lee Tops ODAC Women's Swimming PollOctober 09, 2015Washington and Lee University picked up nine first place votes on the way to 81 total points to lead the 2015 ODAC Women's Swimming Preseason Poll. Emory & Henry College earned the remaining top nod towards 69 tallies and second position. Randolph-Macon College rounds out the top-three with 65 points in annual survey of the league's head coaches.

ODAC Adds Ferrum College as Swimming Associate MemberSeptember 10, 2015Swimming has been a sport of growth over the past few years in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, and that trend continued this week with the announcement of the addition of Ferrum College as an associate member for men's and women's swimming. The inclusion of Ferrum was ratified by a vote of the ODAC full-time member presidents last week. Ferrum will begin competition as a conference member this fall.
