  • Hollins Chooses Skinner as Swimming Head Coach
    May 15, 2019
    After a nationwide search, Hollins Director of Athletics Myra Sims is pleased to announce the hiring of Ned Skinner as Head Swim Coach and Director of the Northen Swim Center. Skinner takes over the program after the four-year tenure of Patrick Richardson and will begin the day-to-day operations of the program on August 1.

    Washington and Lee junior Emily Hageboeck highlighted the final day of the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships for ODAC swimmers as she broke her own ODAC and W&L records on the way to securing All-American honors in the 200-yard breaststroke. Four other Generals picked up All-American laurels as competition wrapped at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.

  • Washington and Lee Sweeps ODAC Swimming Titles for Fifth Straight Season

    Washington and Lee University won 27 total events including all 10 relays as the Generals swept the ODAC Swimming Championships team titles for the fifth straight season. After three days of competition at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, 14 events feature new conference overall and/or championship records with several being reset multiple times.
  • Previewing the 2019 ODAC Swimming Championships

    ODAC swimmers posted some of the fastest regular season times in recent memory with several of last year's top-three times entering the championship already eclipsed in prelude to the 2019 ODAC Swimming Championships. For the second straight year, 22 teams -- 12 women and 10 men -- take to the waters of the Greensboro Aquatic Center in search of both team and individual glory. Competition in this season's conference championship is set for Friday-Sunday, February 15-17. Each day will feature a pair of sessions -- morning preliminaries and evening finals -- with races in 36 combined events.

  • Washington and Lee Headlines First ODAC Men's Swimming Coaches' Poll

    The first ODAC Men's Swimming Coaches' Poll in league history is headlined by the only champion the sport has known. Washington and Lee University, winners of the first four men's swimming team titles, collected 81 points including nine first place votes to lead the list of 10 programs. Randolph-Macon College picked up the remaining top nod on the way to 71 tallies. Roanoke College edged Hampden-Sydney College by just four points (64-to-60) for third place.
  • Generals Lead ODAC Women's Swimming Coaches' Poll

    Eleven-time defending conference champion Washington and Lee University stands atop the ODAC Women's Swimming Coaches' Poll, picking up 121 points including 11 first place votes in the league's annual survey. Randolph-Macon College sits second with 109 points, while Roanoke College breaks into the top-three with 95 tallies including the remaining top nod as the Maroons embark on their second season of competition.
  • Vixens Name Diamond as New Swimming Head Coach

    Sweet Briar College has hired Jerry Diamond, most recently an assistant swimming and diving coach at Hartwick College, as its head swimming coach. Prior to his time at Hartwick, Diamond was an assistant at the State University of New York at Oswego.
  • Guilford Selects Herndon as First Full-Time Women's Swimming Head Coach
    September 17, 2018
    Guilford College Athletics Director Sue Bower announced two significant enhancements to the Quakers’ women’s swimming program Monday. She appointed Bradley Herndon as the Quakers’ first full-time head women’s swimming coach and also disclosed an agreement with the Greensboro Aquatic Center (GAC) to serve as Guilford’s home pool for practice and competition.
  • ODAC Announces 2017-18 Sportsmanship Teams

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2017-18 ODAC Sportsmanship Teams in each of the conference's 24 sponsored sports. The squads are comprised of a student-athlete selected by the coaching staffs of each team competing under the conference banner with all sports and schools fully represented.
