Seven Generals to Carry ODAC Banner in NCAA Swimming Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Seven student-athletes from Washington and Lee University will carry the ODAC's banner to Indianapolis for the Division III Swimming & Diving Championships next month following the release of the championship field on Wednesday evening.

Qualified swimmers (and divers) will compete at the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus at the IUPUI Natatorium. Competition is set for Wednesday-Saturday, March 16-19.

Washington and Lee will feature three competiting relays teams and three swimmers racing individually to account for its group of seven Generals. We take a look at those competing below.

200-YARD FREESTYLE RELAY

  • W&L Seed Time: 1:34.66 (16th of 20 in the field)

400-YARD FREESTYLE RELAY

800-YARD FREESTYLE RELAY

  • W&L Competitors: Claudia Barnett, Brynn Martinson, Sophia Rollo, Allyssa Utecht
  • W&L Seed Time: 7:38.17 (20th of 20 in the field)
  • Top Seed: Tufts University - 7:18.26

200-YARD BACKSTROKE

  • W&L Competitor: Sara Gaston
  • W&L Seed Time: 2:02.84 (27th of 27 in the field)

100-YARD FREESTYLE
