Emily Hageboeck, Washington and Lee, Fr.

Hageboeck, a freshman from Charleston, W.Va., kicked off her collegiate career with three individual event victories and one relay triumph as Washington and Lee won the Derby City Invitational against five other programs. Hageboeck won the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke events with times of 1:08.03 and 2:25.46. She added a win in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:12.87. She helped her teammates claim gold in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:49.62.

Allen opened up the season by competing in seven events at the Converse Women's Invitational. She played fifth in the 50-free (0:26.62) and 100-back (1:06.16), sixth in the 100-free (1:00.03), and eighth in the 200-free (2:11.64). She helped her teammates to seventh in both the 200-free (2:04.49) and 400-medley (5:03.25) relays, as well as an eighth place showing in the 200-medley relay (2:21.97).
